On Sunday, Historic Linthicum Walks hosted its first tea. We had 26 guests join us to enjoy tea, sandwiches, scones, and sweet treats.
The table settings were beautiful. Blue flowered tablecloths created a base for the great mix of china that was used. There were several different patterns of china. I found some of our guests looking for markings on the bottom to help identify the china. Our pink flowered set of china is from the 1940's. The blue flowered china is more modern Noritake. We also used some of our Blue and White collection. Each person had a napkin and a beautiful tea poem on their plate.
Our guests were very happy with our tea service. Our volunteers made all the difference. The teacups were always kept full. The kitchen ran smoothly and the timing of courses coming from the kitchen was perfect.
Many people were already asking when our next tea will be. This one went so well, we are going to host another on May 18th.
